Interpretation Studies at Hunter Continuing Education

Certificate in Interpretation Studies

This certificate concentrates on employment in legal and medical settings. Classes can be taken only by those enrolled in a Certificate in Translation or Interpretation Studies. To request an exception, please contact the main office at (212) 650-3850 or [email protected].

Program Information

  • Duration of the Program - The program consists of 6 courses; it takes 1 year to complete. The minimum passing grade is a B.
  • Requirements: - Fluency in both English and Spanish is needed, including strong writing skills in both languages. Students must take a placement test and pass an oral interview.
  • Tuition: - $4,200 plus one-time $25 registration fee.
  • Payment Plan: - Down payment of $1,565 + 7 payments of $380.
