Dignity For All Students Act (DASA)- One Day Sessions
This one-day course is available to the general public and will address the social patterns of harassment, bullying and discrimination, marginalization and microaggressions, those acts based on a person’s actual or perceived race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practice, disability, sexual orientation, gender or sex. Using a proactive perspective, the goal of the course is to help school based personnel create an affirming educational environment for all students by addressing school culture and climate. It will also cover the identification and mitigation of harassment, bullying and discrimination; and strategies for effectively addressing problems of exclusion, bias and aggression in educational settings. Registrants will receive a follow up email with directions and guidance with completing the pre-workshop assignments one week before their scheduled workshop. All students must download and complete the pre-workshop assignments prior to the workshop in order to participate the workshop.
